Kirkcaldy RFC - Beveridge Park

5th November 2011

Kirkcaldy 48-12 Ardrossan Academicals

A severe bashing for Ardrossan at Kirkcaldy this afternoon, although the final margin of victory perhaps flattered the home side a touch, scoring as they did two tries in the dying minutes against a by then demoralised looking Accies side.

The visitors had actually opened the scoring after only 5 minutes; Stewart LAMONT going over for a try, but were made to look second best for much of the rest of the match.  Mind you, their cause was hardly aided by the loss of three players to injuries – at times the Ardrossan physio looked the busiest bod in the place, as she scurried about effecting running repairs on her troops.

Welcome to Kirkcaldy Rugby.....as it says.

First casualty of the day.

The visitors' M.A.S.H.

By midway through the second-half the attendance had
been swollen by spillover from the adjacent hostelry.

The pole is leaning under the weight of the Kirkcaldy scoreline.
